Edited after checking broadcast sheets: The correct upper radiator hose for the 1970 Cuda 440 with shaker (N96 shaker optional on Cuda440 or Cuda440-6) is 2863257 https://www.rosevillemoparts.com/product/upper-radiator-hose-1969-71-b_e-383-440-4406-with-26-inch-radia/

Hemicuda broadcast sheets show 3462113 https://www.rosevillemoparts.com/product/upper-radiator-hose-1970-71-e-body-hemi-and-shaker-challenger/

Roseville also shows 3462184 for the Hemi E-body with Shaker but I did not see a BS23R0B or BS23R1B broadcast sheet in my collection of sheets with 84 for the Inlet Hose on Line 3.

According the the original broadcast sheets for my 1971 440+6 N96 equipped Cuda. and my 1971 440+6 Challenger without N96, both use the same  #2863257 upper hose :alan2cents:

Now I just question if 1970 was the same

Not sure who published that list, but the 1881804  is a hose for a 1962 six cylinder  :looney:

Also, according to Galen's white book: 1970 426 HEMI = #3412113  while the 1971 426 HEMI = #3462184 which makes me question whether 1970 440-4 and 440+6 used different hoses from the 1971 samples above. Unfortunately I don't have any BCS for 70 V/U code E Bodies...

Wouldn't radiator size play a part too?
22 inch radiators were standard on 440 and 440-6 cars with a 727 and 3.23 gears.

The original poster mentioned 26" and the two samples I listed were 26" as well, but you're 100% correct 22" equipped U/V code cars use a totally different hose :bigthumb:

Yep I see it he did mention 26inch radiator. I got too far down reading the replys and looking at the hose numbers.

After seeing Alan's broadcast sheets, I looked through my saved 1970 Cuda broadcast sheets. The sheets with engine codes of R, U, and V and Shaker hood (N96) had either 57 or 13 in the radiator Inlet Hose location on Line 3.
57 equals a 2863257 upper radiator hose. https://www.rosevillemoparts.com/product/upper-radiator-hose-1969-71-b_e-383-440-4406-with-26-inch-radia/ The 57 hose rubs on the shaker adapter ring.
13 equals a 3462113 upper radiator hose. https://www.rosevillemoparts.com/product/upper-radiator-hose-1970-71-e-body-hemi-and-shaker-challenger/ The 13 hose has a unique bend which clears the shaker adapter ring.

The 3462184 hose looks almost exactly like the 3462113 hose with the unique bend but I did not find any broadcast sheets showing 84 for Inlet Hose. Roseville shows both of these hoses as Shaker E-body hoses.

Also, the chart of hose numbers I posted earlier in this thread does not show every hose number that was available so it is of little value since, as you can see, the 3462113 hose is not even listed on the chart.

I have to agree with Alan and say that the 2863257 is correct and so is the 3462113 based on what is actually on the broadcast sheets for 1970/1971 U and V code Shaker Cudas.

Awesome info :worship:....Galen's book has the #3462113 hose only listed for 1970 426 HEMI, not anything else.... :dunno:

Now we need a correct chart that shows all combinations of shaker/no shaker, 22"/26" radiators, and the engine codes with the correct hoses as per the broadcast sheets. Unfortunately, it appears that not all hose numbers are available in repro so you may have to deviate from the broadcast sheet and go with what you can buy.

FYI - that chart earlier in the thread came from one of the E-body restoration books and is not reliable due to errors and omissions.

@MoparCarGuy  you have a pic of a b'cast sheet for a "U"-code 440HP 'cuda?  can you post an image or share it via email?

thanks, Dan
