What year did EGR valves turn up?

Chryco Psycho

It looks like 74 was the first year

My '73 318 Charger had it... Rockauto lists a replacement gasket for a '72

Thanks guys,

I guess the main thing I need confirmed is that there was no EGR in 1970.

I want to use a performer RPM manifold which has no egr port. So long as EGR wasn't standard equipment in 1970 the local roadworthy inspector can not fail it for not having one.

Cheers

@redgum78  That is correct, NO EGR in 1970.   :alan2cents:

EGR hooks up to the carb baseplate on all the setups I've had, not the intake.  Big 3/8" port on the front of the carb usually.  Only vacuum connection on the manifold was for the brake booster.
