My rebuilt engine, tranny, and rear end will be out of my car for about 1 year as I restore my car.  Should I plan on keeping oil in all units to keep the seals wet?  I dont like leaks.  Or does it not matter?

All units will be in the garage...out of the weather for storage.

Thanks

Just leave everything in it then change the oil and trans fluid when you put it back it.  Any fuel in carbs will need to be taken care of because after a year it could go bad and clog the carb.

I agree: Leave the fluids in and turn everything over a few turns every month or so.

Oil is pretty all you need. I even kept my rebuilt trans dry until in the car then I added fluid. But either way is fine.
