Trying to get the clutch fork back onto the throwout bearing - I get the top clip in but when I get the bottom clip in the top one pops out! Is there some sort of trick to getting them both to stay in?

I'm guessing the trans is in and the throwout bearing/carrier on the input shaft? You've got the fork and bearing in the right orientation? Pretty hard to screw up. You've got the U-section of the fork so that the clips are in the middle of the U-section of it's fingers? If it's all lined up it should go on by hand, but failing that, a clout with a hammer on the end of the fork while holding whatever engagement you have may do the trick. Correct sized fork/bearing carrier? Just some thoughts.   Spot of mig? ;)

Yes, car is all together but I had to pull the fork out to check my throwout bearing as I`m having an issue. I ended up making a little rod with a 90 degree bend to hold the top ear to keep he clip in while I pushed in the lower clip - worked great.
