Hey Alan, If you put the caps on the u-joint, and put c-clips in the grooves, yours measure 2.250 outside to outside on the c-clips???

This is exactly correct on ALL the new ones I've bought. The original one, and the drive shaft/slip yoke are ALL  2.125 that's where the problem is.

Hmm,    Now I wish I still had my receipt for that part. I had a couple of pictures too, but I deleted them.

This is the ones that Oreillys sells. USA made. Fit like a glove. Not OJ's.

Yes....two of the three I bought from Rockauto will work.
As it turns out, the ones that work, like the Precision one shown above works because the "C" clips are thinner then the Moog clips. The U joints measure out the same and both have a groove approximately 1/16" wide. The Moog joint came with clips 1/16" wide while the others came with clips a lot thinner like maybe 1/32" which allowed enough room for the joint to fit properly.

That's interesting.  I wonder how much that affects strength having that thin of C-clip.  Makes me wonder if the manufacturer screwed up the machine set up and then came up with a solution to prevent a big loss.

I have used a lot of the Precision joints with no issue
