Don Garlits lost 1/2 of foot that way in one of his Swamp Rats. That was the beginning of the rear engine Top fuel cars.

one bad fish

Buddy of mine blew his clutch on his Runner (Stroker BB) - pieces went through both front fenders damaged headers on both sides and damaged lower corner on drivers side firewall. He has since fully restored (full rotisserie) the car to the tune of 40 grand in paint and body work. AND put on a scatter shield. My cuda is at his place now getting a scatter shield installed. No way I want to happen to me!
