I have a four barrel 1970 cuda 383.  I am looking for the following reference information:

The routing for the sparkplug wires including where the looms go.
Where the straps that hold the wires in place go.  I bought a kit I just need to know where they go.

Thanks, Jeff

Chryco Psycho

The kit usually includes a diagram of the locations for the brackets
I do not have a copy handy but someone here will

Does this help @jlemler

I can take photos of a car later today or this weekend if that helps.  Good luck buddy!  Let us know how it works out.

That's awesome, Cody!   :worship:  I am about to do the same for my 383 since all the shields and looms were missing when I bought the car.

Should the looms be painted engine color or left natural?
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

Chuck and Linda are good friends and you are right.... they are awesome!!!  I have them scanned, but not uploaded to our site yet.  But I think you are right and they should be uploaded.    :bigthumb:  Does anyone have any more they think should be added at the same time?  Small block?

To my knowledge these were all attached to the engine as it was assembled so they would be painted

Pictures would be nice.  I'm looking for a reference for those plastic straps that go around the engine bay as well.  The kit I bought came with no reference material.

Cody this site is awesome great stuff.

Thanks Jeff

Can you post a photo of the ones you have a question about?   :takepicture:   I'm not sure what ones you need to know where they go.

And what kit did you get?

O.K. point of clarification.  My question was a two part.  Part one has been asked and answered.  The information is excellent.  The second part was about the wire straps that are plastic and used to hold wire around the engine bay.  I have attached a picture.

Just a thought nice pictures of different engines installed from different angles would help a lot.  I have looked through the, "net" and I can never seem to find one showing how the spark plug wires are routed as well as where these straps go.

As usual the help provide has been awesome and appreciated.

See if this will load..

Ok, the strap labeled left shock fold on itself, it guides the + battery cable & it clips on the shock stud...

Heater hoses, on a non-A/C car straps the heater hoses to the right inner fender...

Behind battery, you'll see the four holes...

firewall harness, there are holes along the firewall those clip into & the harness clips into them... Usually on an E body there's a big squared off one...

The white straps fold over one of the spikes plugs into the inner fender the other the strap attaches to itself, I think there are two on the right inner fender, one on the firewall near the right hood hinge, another new the center...  And one over near the starter relay that guides the wiring...

Thanks @1 Wild R/T   :clapping:

@jlemler  Here's some photos that are not 100% done or accurate, but give you some ideas on the location.
