No compression or bleed down test first ?
the problem could be in the rings , I have pulled down engines were the wrong size rings got installed ring gap was never checked & to make it worse all the gaps were lined up

Absolutely if the cam wiped it all has to come apart  :bigthumb:

I believe they were going to do a compression test first. Then pull the heads.

Compression check and leak down test are on the horizon.  Going to have the engine  pulled and heads removed either way.  Will take pics and update if we see anything interesting but it won't be for a bit.  Spark plug wires are only two summers old.  (<4000km Taylor 8mm Spiro Core)  Thanks everyone for your input.
