oil pressure gauge: analog or digital?

The prior owner of my car had installed an analog oil pressure gauge on the underside of the dash frame, complete with a 1/8" copper tube snaking around the engine compartment and through the firewall.  While I can see the advantages of getting a direct reading on the oil pressure, I don't really care for having the potential for an oil leak anywhere (especially inside the car) that comes with the thin tube (plastic or copper).  The digital/electric gauges are more expensive.   Any strong feelings out there one way or the other?   Since I have a "first start" following an engine rebuild (hopefully) in my near future, I want to make sure I get good data on this critical measurement.

For the first start I would leave it in. Then change to an electric gauge later. I've seen plenty of leaks from the hoses/lines to manual gauges as well. A lot of the copper line breaks after time are most likely due to overtightening fittings I reckon.
