Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Looking for an OPS unit that will fit my 440 and also work with the Auto Meter gauge that I have for it but I can't recall the part number of the gauge I bought.  Can anyone suggest which one I should get?  I see this one but it says "for use with factory gauges" so I'm not sure if it'll work:

Contact Autometer and see which sending unit they recommend.

Usually aftermarket oil pressure gauges use a direct oil tube to the back of the gauge from the engine. Check the back of the gauge to see of it has place for just a wire or the pressure tube? I don't know of any that rely on a sending unit

Okay...I just checked, Auto-Meter does make both "mechanical" and "electric" oil pressure gauges....I guess if yours is electrical you would use the factory sender for a gauge which you have pictured...Available at RockAuto a lot cheaper Classic Industries or 440 Source

Yes, if you're certain you purchased an "electrical" gauge and not a "mechanical" gauge

Not all gauges and sending units are made equal.  You need to run the correct sending unit for the gauge you bought.  Autometer will know which sending unit works correctly with their gauge.  I would not put a generic parts store sending unit on an Autometer gauge and expect it to be accurate.

Very few non racing cars out there with mechanical gauges. Electrical can be very accurate.

I would call autometer and ask them which one that gauge uses.

That would be probably your best bet for accuracy
