Great photo @SteveG   Is there a way we can find out the choke part number that it would have used originally?

This choke is the open well design and was used on all engines except 340, 440 tricarb. Pic is from the 1971 plymouth service manual first page of the fuel section.

Both the factory photo and the photo @mopar jack  posted both look to have a slight bend in the rod.       Alan, could you take a photo from the side of your choke?  Does the rod look straight?

Also if you look closely the cover on Jack's choke assy has a recessed area for the secondary linkage, the 440 choke Alan posted doesn't have that... I believe thats a Carter style choke.... It will still say Holley on it because they made all the choke assys for Chrysler....

Do you know what carb number you have?   I can look in the parts book and see if we can find the choke number like Steve suggested....

Is it a 4667?  The parts book shows carb 3512 867 for that carb.  Don't they put the last 2 digits of the part # on the choke?

I think bending the rod is one way to adjust the choke. Here is more pics for Scott. I'm not a numbers guy and don't know if I got them all.

That's the important number!  It's carb number and date.

The 1817 should be the date.  181st day of 1967, 1977?  The number above it is the carb model that will tell you what it original went on.
