@DeathProofCuda thanks I was hoping so, they are supposed to know what they are doing.  I gave them those old OEM specs and told them what the original application was.
I am still going to use a degree wheel to check everything but wanted to avoid messing with a cam that was WAY off to what I asked for.

Thanks for the help... EVERYONE!

@DeathProofCuda Numbers swimming in my old brain  :looney: ..... so taking back what you said a bit earlier about it being "low" it appears I got what I asked for?
Thanks

Here's a thread from the FABO site discussing the specs for the stock 340 cam.  Seems like the duration at 50 specification for yours is correct.

Correct, sorry for creating any confusing.  It looks like you got what you asked for.

Yep, glad that we're all on the same page now and thanks for the camshaft refresher diversion. :ohyeah:  You're not too far away.  Hopefully we'll run into each other in the future when folks start mingling again.  Do you typically make it out to Sunbust or any of the other local Mopar events?

Chryco Psycho

Actually Adv duration is from .006 lift -to .006 before closing not that there is any flow at .006

@RzeroB, thanks so that stock cam advertised number is from the moment the valve moves till it is back at rest on its seat?

That had been my understanding for a long time. However, Neal (aka Chryco) says it is from .006" lift. He has more experience than I do, so he is probably correct in his statement. The general concept is the same, so it sounds like you have a good understanding of it all now.
Cheers!
Tom

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

@DeathProofCuda sorry bud I did not see your response.  Yes we try to hit Sunbust every year.  Don't know how much longer it will go on though.  :(
The club I belong to has an annual show called Mopar Magic out on the Kitsap Peninsula; no where near as big as Tacoma but we try; hard to get folks to cross that bridge... we go to their show but few come to ours, go figure.   Cancelled last year and replaced by a long free cruise around the Hood Canal to Port Townsend for lunch, and back.  Things are still up in the air this time for 2021 but we will do something.
