I was looking at what options are best for a replacement radiator. I want to look at adding electric fans. I will have an a/c and a tran cooler. The cold case ones I was looking at shows a 1/8 npt for the trans cooler... Seems small?

383 & 727 transmission. Anyone know the standard size ?

1/8 NPT is correct... here's a rundown on a cold case install with stock fan..

Wonder if it's a tight squeeze with the electric fan kits?

I don't think fan depth has been an issue for most folks..
Are you making accommodations for the extra power load electric fans require? That's been the issue I've seen others struggle with.

It will definitely be one of the considerations. I'll have to look at the amperage draw from both fans at max.

Anyone take off the stock fan and run electric only?

HP2

I wasn't willing to pay the ridiculous prices most are asking for mopar style aluminum radiators but wanted the performance of one. So I added some saddle mounts to my lower radiator brace, modified a Pontiac upper bracket, and adapted a GM style crossflow unit to my car. Best thing, I can get replacements from Pro-Tek or Speedway for around $150 and I get full aluminum construction with 2 rows of  1" tubes and triple pass configuration that is compatible with my stock clutch fan assembly.
