Just got my rearend package from Cass @ Dr. Diff.
1)  3.55 ring gear & pinion kit.
2)  Repro. sure-grip w/4340 gears.
3)  489 master rebuild kit.
4) Axel bearing kit.
I'll rebuild the 489 case I bought a couple of months ago and that'll be one more thing to check off the rebuild list. :)

Thanks Cody, yes I believe so to it seems to be the right ratio for what I want to do with my Cuda " just a fun street car and cruiser". :)

I love 3.55's, had them in my '71 Challenger and have them now in my '70 Cuda.  They are the perfect street gear IMO.  Get off the line quick when you want, and can still cruise the highway.

It's great to here from folks that have or are running these gears and are happy with the performance they got from this set up.  :thankyou: for your input 303.

I jumped from 273 non sure grip to 355 suregrip (Dr diff) and yes it jumps the line much better.  I'm very happy with the ratio.  I have a mild 340 and 727.  Very happy with the ratio, I know others love 323s or 391s, but I have no regrets.

Been getting great replies to this ratio, heck I'm ready to give mine opinion but as we all know these projects take time, so mine will have to wait. Thanks
