sb timing chain cover

Hi , i need a new timing chain cover for my 340 1970 but  i can't find any new chrysler part
i have several ones with crack in for my 340 sixpack and need a new one for my rebuild.
can i buy new chrysler somewhere or is it only aftermarket around? have someone experiens of what brand of aftermarket timing chain cover for sb that fit good?

Sometimes good used one will pop up on Ebay, not expensive. Or you can just buy aftermarket. Looks and works the same but without the Chrysler logo. Summit, Jegs,  Manncinni Racing and many more carries it.

not shure if its a chrysler part?  will aftermarket fit well?  bb ones are usually not fit well so thats why i go for a chrysler brand

Did the 70's have the integral timing indicator?  :huh:

1970, 71 and up is the one I've shown in above post
1969 , perhaps late 68 340 had the timing mark on other side as shown top picture here.
1968 340 was blank but used the metal indicator shown .

Thanks! My first 340 was out of a 68 and had that removeable pointer; that's why I wondered.  :cheers:
