Hi could some tell me if the 318 and 340 4 speed bellhousing are the same ?  1970 ebody

Don't know if they are car show 100% the same..but it fits both engines.

From what I'm reading on Brewer's site 318/340 are the same but different based on year

Front brg retainer size is important , , 3 sizes exist 4.35 , 4.80 , & the OD 5.2" diameter
