Stumped by the stupidest thing...how do you get this breather off?

I have attached a picture. How do you get the black breather off? Sometimes the stupidest things.

Someday I will have a J0b.

 :iagree: Sometimes you have to bend it as far over as you can while lifting, some are really tight.

And if it's really hard pull some more... Wait, that didn't come out right.... :rofl:

But seriously if the engine has been run sometimes the grommet gets cooked & becomes rock hard if thats the case replacing the grommet will make it easier to remove & reinstall in the future...

I bought some grommets from Mancini Racing and they are really nice.  Not sure if they sell some for OEM valve covers.  Did you get it off?

RUNCHARGER

You can insert a thin piece of wood on the valvecover and lever it off with a screwdriver if need be. The grommet is rock hard no doubt.

Well I pulled, I pried and I PULLED and I....broke the breather.

This is the most Frustrating enjoyable hobby you can have! lol. I just want to paint my engine back to the correct corporate blue damnit.
Someday I will have a J0b.
