Trying to determine a good starting point for jetting a rebuilt 440 Six Pack engine with stock carbs.

Mild build with 10-1 pistons, stock Stealth aluminum heads and Lunati cam https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/lun-10230702lk

Auto trans with small converter and 3.23 rear gear

I think stock 440 Six Pack jetting is 64 I was thinking 66?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Well stock is 62 , 64 might be a bit rich , but you can start there
the stealth heads may increase airflow some which can create more signal at the carbs pulling more fuel through a given size of jet  so up jetting may not help

I would start around 64 to 66 with a 6.5 power valve and a white accelerator cam.  :alan2cents:

Thanks guys.

What do you think about squirter size?

Whatever is stock would be a good place to start.  Not sure what stock was though.  :clueless:

Thanks for the responses.

Vacuum during engine break in on the run stand was 14-15 using a 4 barrel carb and intake.

Altitude here is about 1050ft.

Current squirter is 31.

Current jets are 66, might back those down to 64's
Power valve is 6.5

Slowly making progress.
Installing spark plugs in those Stealth heads with Hooker Comp. headers was a real challenge.

Start with that basic set up and let us know how it drives.  Then we should be able to help you if it needs a bit more tuning.

Seems like a good base line to start with  :wrenching:
