I'm planning to buy a wideband O2 sensor kit and looking for comments/feedback on the best available and affordable systems. I've done quite a bit of research and I've gotten down to AEM, Autometer, and Innovate.

It appears that Innovate and Autometer are the same company since they both have the same address. Not sure if one is better than the other. AEM looks okay too. I know a lot of members are running these and would like to hear mainly negative comments of these three kits. Like "don't buy so and so's system".

I've had the autometer version for years with no issues. I did have to replace the oxygen sensor once but I consider that normal wear and tear?  No regrets!

I'm happy with my innovate wideband o2 sensor. Made carb tuning easier for me for sure.
Can't really tell you if it is better than others or not as it is the only one I've ever had. But it has been faultless in the years I've had it.
Comes with logging software and if you want you can drive with your laptop connected up and monitor graphing in real time.

I had an Innovate as well and no problems with it. No experience with any other ones.

I've got the Inovation dual wide band for tuning purposes. I loaned mine out the other day, and got it back with one sensor not reading correctly. So don't do that. It cost me $80 to replace it. Long story. When I went to calibrate it, one calibrated a little rich. As I started to tune it was a little lean. I did not really know which one was correct, however.  As I started to tune, it got progressively leaner up to 18:1. I plugged that side and went with one till I got it done. Having one on each side helped me out.

I use the innovate LM-2 to datalog when tuning; but it has the ability to plug into the obd-2 port to capture engine computer stuff.   It does have analog inputs that you can use to capture rpm and whatnot from a distributor.

However it's a bit clunky and not exactly an ideal set up for permanent installation.

If you just want a permanently installed gauge, then the AEM unit is nice.  Some of them also have the capability to record and send data to a laptop for review later.
