Will these spark plugs work?

I'm currently running J-11Y spark plugs in my 1970 stockish 383. I just bought some RN12YC plugs and they are much different. The J-11Y plugs extend about 1/2" into the chamber and the RN12YC extend about 1" into the chamber. Are these plugs interchangeable?

Longer one definitely not correct for your 383 .. you want the RJ12YC per rockauto.com

Big blocks using stock heads use J plugs , small blocks use N plugs , never use an N plug in a big block , the plug will likely hit the piston causing damage .
