Which cars came with the yellow transmission mount? I thought it was only 440-6 or hemi cars. Please inform me gurus of the E body world!

I found this under my AAR and am wondering if it is original

If it's not original to your car, I'm in need of a yellow mount.

So, anyone else pull one of these from an AAR?

Other than being yellow, what's the difference?

I would think a stiffer rubber compound or maybe the mounting differs to account for driveline angle differences when you have more powerful big blocks and a heavy duty track pack like suspension. But that's just my speculation. I would love to know the real answer.

I do not think it is original to my car, but it could be?

I know that at one point in its life, my car did have a 440 powertrain swapped in just because. Later on it went back to 340. So that could be where the mount came from. Interesting...

I believe the "original" yellow ones also have the word YELLOW on the rubber.  There has been a difference in cut angle on the brackets too.  This may have been on purpose or a vendor difference.  :dunno:

My '70 Cuda with a 440 "U" code and 4 speed with Super Trak Pak has one.

I wonder if they all had YELLOW molded into them.
This one is on a tranny I saw the other day, but I cant seem to find the word yellow.
Has same part number molded 3410309 as seen on the ones with 'yellow' molded
