What combination of studs and nuts and bolts are used to mount both stock exhaust manifolds

Why is there 14 in the kit for 12 mounts and do any of these go into coolant

I count 6 bolts, 6 studs, and six nuts along with 10 concaved washers....not sure where you're counting 14 ???

Yes I believe at least the four corner studs go into antifreeze, but I'm not sure

Yea sorry I didnt realize the 2 longer tubler ones are nuts that go on studs

Oh sorry, yea those are called "barrel" nuts or "sleeve" nuts. Pretty much required to mount the manifolds.

On small blocks the end holes on the heads are open to the cooling system so the factory used studs so the manifolds could be removed without losing the coolant .
