Hi,

I am installing a 6.2 Red Eye engine to my 70 Cuda project and we have already completed the exhaust. I will use the OEM headers and modify the exhaust accordingly but prefer to leave the rest of the exhaust as is. We are currently using 2.75" pipes to the end. Is this going to be sufficient? I read somewhere that Hellcats have the same diameter.

Thanks so much.

Thanks a lot for this feedback. Just out of curiosity - have you had any such retrofits done and have you experienced this exhaust size on some car?

I would do 3". That's what I will be doing on my 6.1 based 426 for my cuda. On my factory 6.1 SRT it came with 2.75 from the factory. An unofficial rule of thumb is over 550hp is time to go up to 3 inches
