archive searchability

Being relatively new to forums, I want to make sure I post correctly.  Is there any preference to using certain punctuation such as a hyphen?  Such as six-pack vs. six pack or 4-speed vs. 4 speed and so forth...  I'd hate for a post to get missed during a key-word search. :notsure:  Search engine is probably smarter than I can imagine  :thankyou:
