Issue posting video in .3pg format?

Got the error message below while trying to post some pics that my wife took on her iPhone. She sent them via text and then I saved them on my PC. I am not familiar with this file format (.3pg) but seems to be pretty common so curious if others are having any issues or does the site need an update.

3PG is a newer video format.  Most likely, the older forum software doesn't know it is safe, and therefor, outlaws your uploading this video file type.  You can, with some effort, post the video to youtube, and then post the link of the youtube video.

  I've never been aware of any type of video upload being available on the forum, only pictures.
Linking to a YouTube video is accomplished by pasting between brackets
   [ youtube][/youtube ] after clicking in the reply menu

What Bullitt said, no direct videos, only via YouTube. Pictures here are easy peasy.

Edit: fixed "do" to "no".

Thanks all, I did not realize no direct videos. I've posted pics, and seen Youtube videos but never noticed not having any videos directly posted.
