1.  I'm looking to wire the the fuel pump and electric fan on switches...how would I do this with the relays?? Pic below

2.  What size fuse (amps) should I use between the starter relay and the "amp gauge?"

3.  What size fuse (amp) between the alternator and the fuse block (one wire set up)?  Does it need to be fused at both ends (I thought I read that somewhere)???

4.  What size battery for the car (any particular things to know)??

5.

I'm getting really close to getting this fired up finally!!!  Thanks!

Is the battery in the trunk ?
You can use a 20 amp fuse between the battery & fuel pump , the relay has 4 posts , #30 & opposite are the heavy load carrying terminals , 12 ga wire should work for the heavy load , the left & right terminals can be 18 ga power to the terminal & ground on the other side to switch the relay .
To the wire the fan you again should be able to use 20-25 amp fuse from the start relay & through the relay to the fan , not sure how you will switch the fan , thermostat auto switch or manual .
nothing should go through the ammeter gauge

thanks for the response...  yes the battery is in the trunk...I want to manually turn off and on the fans and fuel pump...do I really need the relay or can I just run a fused hot wire to them and break them at the switch?

I was referring to the hot wire that runs from the starter relay/through the bulk head/and up to the amp meter (I already connected the two wires behind the gauge with the one wire set up)  I assume it feeds the interior power.... there was a fuse on my factory wiring but no fuse was in it.....

I also need the actual battery to see if everything is going to work..I assume any top post car battery will work.....

use the relays & run very light wire [18 ga] from power through the switch to the relay this is by far the best way to switch them
There should be a fusable link in the wire through the bulkhead near the start relay
Any 12v battery will work  :bigthumb:

Yes definitely use relays. Also suggest you use drycell battery for trunk mounted ones. Either that or have ot I closed and vented to atmosphere.
