I've no idea who the guy in the black ski mask is, but getting tired of clicking back out of that screen. Seems to be popping up even more often lately and clearly the ad isn't working.

I keep getting ads for window blinds, which I purchased recently. Takes up the full screen.

I've found that on my iPhone OR my iPad, if I expand the screen a little (zoom in) before going to the next thread, I don't get the pop ups.

Ads you see on this site and others are generated using your search and purchase history anywhere on the net.  What one person sees might not be what someone else sees.  All direct marketing based on your browsing.  So anyone who thinks big brother is not watching...........

I also am having trouble with ad's . Sometimes they take up the whole screen and I can't do anything to get rid of them. Meaning no way to click close on them.  I then refresh the screen to get back on or close the tab and reload. Usually if I can click "close" on them it's just once when I open a window to get on the site.
Also finding site is very slow ( but not always) Sometimes taking up to a minute to load a page , sometimes it won't allow me to post either?  I open another widow to check if it's on my end but nope other sites load quick? 
Not complaining Cody as I'm sure it must be quite frustrating on your end.

Just to be clear, I'm not complaining either. I know the site is free which means Ads to pay for it.

I am normally on my PC (not phone) and find that with full screen ads that don't have an "X" to close them I can hit the back on my browser and then re-click the post I was trying to see which will then open right up. A bit more cumbersome but not bad.

The slow-down is another story and seems so random. I'm sure frustrating to all including admins.

I love this site and OK to live with it.

I have never seen an ad on this site, either. 
I use either the "Brave" or "Firefox" browsers with the "Duck Duck Go" search engine and don't allow many, if any, third party cookies.

I too have that, but just once when I first open this site I get an add. Again, sometimes it takes up the whole screen and I have no way of getting rid of it other than closing the tab. Weird how it works ok for you?

@Brads70 Brad, I get the same thing, full page ad just once. I just hit the back button and then the forward button and it's all good.
