It seems NASCAR was out to get Dodge/Plymouth any time they gained an edge. First they banned the HEMI, then the winged cars. I guess Ford and Chevy carried the bigger pocket books.

NHRA did the same thing to the HEMI Pro Stockers back in the day. They kept adding weight to them until they factored them out of contention....
