Didn't work on the cuda at all!  Instead went and traded in my truck, upgraded from my 17 1500 quad to an 18 2500 6.4 crew cab. More room for kid and dogs in back and will make towing the new trailer a breeze.

Nice! Love that color. I towed my Challenger to Carlisle with the '18 2500 6.4 I bought this January and it did great.

FYI the 3500 ram 4 wheel rides better due to 2 spring packs in the rear&unloaded you are actually using lighter rear springs  where the 2500 only has one , originally the cost difference is less than $1000

The 2500's have coils now. Just FYI. I think starting in '18. I heard it makes the ride much better unloaded?

Just checked - yes coil springs, rides pretty nice for a 2500.

I bought a 2021 Ram 2500 6.4 and it has coil springs and rides nice.  A big bump in the road will toss it around a bit but otherwise it's fine.
I haven't towed a car trailer yet but everyone raves they do very well.  I didn't check the box on the order form for air suspension and sometimes wonder if I should have, but I think it will be OK just with the coil springs.

Not checking factory air suspension was probably a good decision. From what I understand, the aftermarket air bags are every bit as good or better than the factory ones, but 1/3 the price.

On a 3/4 ton pulling a car trailer, I am not sure that air bags help much.  A half ton, probably does help.
JB Reviews on Youtube did a test of a truck like mine recently which he hooked up to his 9000# car trailer, and the rear of the truck only dipped about 2" with the trailer hooked up.  Probably not enough to affect the handling of the rig.
It would be cool with air bags being able to drop the rear of the truck to help in hooking up the trailer, but is the saving a few minutes cranking the trailer jack really worth $1700 which is what the option cost?
