So he's doing all the metal and body work plus paint and polish, is that right. I'm always wrestling with redoing my Challenger but man that's a lot of cash. Sometimes I think I could sell mine, add half that and be ahead of the game. But, maybe not.

Yes, he does it all in house....for years I used Keith Sim for metal work, but he's moved away and basically semi-retired so it's no longer reasonable to spilt up the work load...

To take your Challenger down to a complete bare shell and redo everything, you're at least $40K just for body and paint (including taking it apart, blasting, reassembly etc...) and likely another $40K in everything else  :))

The owner wanted the stripes under the clear, so that's why they're so shiny....it's a resto-mod so it doesn't really matter I guess :dunno:

Looks great!  Amazing to see how much the hood springs "spring" when the hood is closed. Not a view many get to see.
But someone is pretty " brave?" moving it around on a dolly on gravel?  :o
Looks like a disaster  in waiting? Could have ended ugly!

Oh, well if that was me , almost for sure it would dig in and flip over ....... my kinda luck usually....

RUNCHARGER

Yep: I can relate Brad. Loading this and the left rear caster caught while rolling onto the beavertail and bent the spring mount on the body back a bit. Easy to fix with 5lb sledge but unusual crap always has a way of happening.
Then on the trip up from Seattle the beavertail extension fell off the hinge and dented up the trunk lid where the butt stripe is. I mean that happens to everybody right? I was lucky I had extra paint though I suppose.

I designed the carts I use back in 1993.....I've had literally dozens of cars on my carts, never had an issue with anything falling off or cars tipping over  :dunno: the sandblast places usually pick the cars up with forklifts etc...never an issue

Alan, I think, and suspect you already know, that the lads are talking about pulling/pushing short wheelbase carts across gravel and their propensity to dig in a leg, or two, and if that happens nobody will be happy. I'm glad to hear that you've run between the raindrops, so to speak, all these years.

It's not quicksand, it's the guy's driveway....I would say it's pretty hard packed :dunno: I've never even considered they would ever be an issue :clueless:

DAYLEY/CHALLENGER

Every vehicle in this thread is very colorful and very nice.  Several asked about White as a color.   Yes it is, however think about it.........Black is the absence of color!

wasn't too happy painting the car white
 It's only the best colour out there!  Maybe I'm biased?....nah.
Charger looks great!

Is white really a "colour" ? :haha: :haha: :haha:
White is as much a COLOR as COLOR is spelled without an U.  :D    :D
