I just read @bentpshrods post about his six pac set up that had been "sitting on my shelf for 35 years". It got me thinking about how much really cool stuff is out there just sitting. Cool parts, mint parts that are not reproduced, cars that are in unsuspecting places. I was at a guy's place not long ago. An older, modest house with very plain grounds. The house had a two car attached garage that contained 5 Mustangs! His basement had a slot car track like I've never seen and he must have had 500 die casts unopened hanging on the walls. What's lurking in some of these places we drive by every day?

With my line of work I'm often in people garages and sheds . I get to see a lot of cool stuff. Even a few Mopars over the years. These are in a shed near me, 58 Chevy and I think a 1928 Chevy . Owner didn't want me telling anyone where they  were at....

I often wonder what 's going to happen to all that valuable stuff when the owner passes on. Landfill, crusher, second hand store or whatever. I've labelled my stuff with "GOES WITH CUDA" so my kids know to give it to whoever gets the car.

I'm always hunting for a daytona in a garage.  But I'd be happy with a mopar.
Always looking.  I go to estate auctions and I've been surprised how much people can conceal on their properties.  It just never seems to be a mopar up here in the mountains.  I've bought a couple harleys that were stashed away.  Not old by any means but not out in the world until I dusted them off.  Here's one.

And I did just pull this beauty out of a garage.  Set since 87.   Still has original sparkplug wires.  Original factory paint dobs on the wires and factory drawing on the valve covers.  Everything is original.  Drives like a dream.  Out of Kansas.

I've done the same. I wrote an email to my daughter about each car giving details of the build, what goes with it, present value, where to market it, etc. Oh, and all the parts in your old bedroom are for the Challenger, Kevin's bedroom are for the Charger. :haha:

Yep.
Family member in Wisconsin just picked this 75 Fury up.
17,000 miles. Still has original tires.
They are out there.

I'm going through this with another family.  PLEASE make sure you have a will so everything goes smoothly if something happens.  I'm working with a family right now with a bunch of cars, and parts.  He was a legit hoarder with no will.  And everything is like pulling teeth right now in government to get it just in the names of his daughter.
