A lot of people tired of Facebook ads , censoring and political leanings going to other apps, I created a MeWe account and it looks similar to FB but have tried Parler or others. What are pros/cons, what kind of formats are they,  where are you guys going? I only have Facebook and have never gone on Twitter, Tik Tok, or other ones.

I don't use any social media. Helps me maintain a good perspective on life.
I'll bet if any other services get as popular as facebook, they will have the same type of political leanings you are referring to.. :alan2cents:
As always, just my opinion....

I signed up for Parler but haven't spent a lot on time on there, its a bit of a learning curve to navigate but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed with that sort of thing.   I think facebook is going to take a hit though.....

I'm with you....this site right here is the ONLY social media I have in my life, no interest in any of the others...

From what I heard & can tell, Parlor is more of a Twitter replacement. I don't do Twitter so not tried it.

MeWe is more of a FaceBook alternative. I have downloaded it and signed up. I like the layout and functionality, but it is new so not really much there. It will take a long time for it to be anywhere near as useful as FaceBook, and realistically probably never will completely replace it for me. But I will keep using both and hopefully more friends and groups will move over.

If any of them become as full of political ranting as Facebook, they'll all suck.  I joined to keep in touch with  people I don't see regularly but wading through all the partisan political crap to see the few personal posts is becoming cumbersome.

The marketplace in Facebook does seem to be on par with craigslist, at least in my city, for cars and parts.

RUNCHARGER

Yeah around here Facebook seems to be the current place to buy and sell stuff. I agree it has degenerated to a rant forum and none of my friends or myself seem to post on there.

I have also started in both.
Yes Mewe for FB alternative and Parler for twitter replacement.
I'm not a twitter type so Parler will be low on activity. Mewe will probably get more effort.

From the "selling" point of their purpose.
No adds and free speech allowed. Rants and all.
Follow what you want along with setting up and or joining any specific group. Ease of blocking the annoying rant prone people.
Time will tell.
Mike Fust on Mewe.
@Yellowthumper on Parler.

SO far I have never been on Fecesbook & will never do anything to help Zuckerberg , you know his wife owns a cannibal restaurant right ?

Poolshark314

From what I have read, MeWe and Parler seem to be social media sites that lean conservative, so not likely the place to go if you want to avoid talking politics altogether.  :alan2cents:
