Obviously, I have way to much time on my hands compared to a usual day.

I know many (myself included) who have applied for Disaster relief and PPP. Now they say they are out of money.
BTW I'm sure taxes will be going up once all this is over. That being said, who has got anything? I haven't seen a dime nor has anyone I know. Is it because I'm on the small end of "small business"? Is it because I have only 4 employees vs someone with a hundred maybe? I have seen no metric in how they determined who got money and who did not. I do consider myself lucky as everything here is paid for, no rent no mortgage. But the bills for monthly services/advertising ect keep coming none the less.  :notsure:

The company my wife works for has about 150 employees, so far they have not gotten their loan yet either.

In Canada they're giving it away like it grows on trees....Most smart people will know that next year come tax time they'll want it all back....

My daughter has a 16 year old friend that she works part time with at the gym. This girl (full time student, part time worker) put in for the assistance program because she lost her 8 hour per week part time job....she received her first $2000/payment yesterday...Our Government is given anybody who lost 100% of their income ...$500/week for four months....apparently they don't even ask what your income was before Covid-19.....I think this girl is going to get screwed next year at tax time.....and of course my daughter wants to apply for it as well  :drunk:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

"If" she was making $15/hr times 52 weeks plus the $2000 she wouldn't have enough to put her above her basic personal exemption. She'll be fine.

Nope don't know anyone who has gotten anything. I'm not going to apply either, I think if people can't make it through a month or two without a handout from the govt. maybe they should reassess their life.

I bet 30% of Canadians are so mortgaged that they cannot survive a month without a handout such as Brads Neighbor . Not a smart way to live tho .

Bigs, I didn't personally apply for PPP but a non-profit I'm associated with has.  What I heard on the news was that applications were supposed to be processed on a  "First come, first served" basis.   I have been hearing that the turnaround time had been about 7 business days once the banks starting accepting applications.  Day 7 for the non-profit will be this coming Monday - no answer yet.

Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

The question i have is:
Was each bank allocated a certain amount of money to loan out? And once the lent out their share of the 350B, that's it?

Or was it a free for all between the banks? Slower processing banks missed the opportunity?

My family did about three days ago...wife, me and one son into the same account on file with the IRS for payment/direct deposit.

Topcat

The $1,200 was direct deposited to me 2 days ago.

I filled this out and then 2 hours later, it was there.
