No matter how safe you drive you can still be vulnerable. This was posted yesterday in my local paper. Happened a few blocks from my house AND the police station is a couple buildings down from that intersection.

Wow! That's crazy. Do you know if the person got charged? The police should have been able to get a plate number.

First: I made a mistake. It happened on March 23/25, cops just released the video yesterday. They're still looking for the perp. Excerpt from the article: The truck is described as a black two-door Ford F-150, while the driver is described as a white female with blond hair.

I would have thought that they could zoom in on the plate.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is unbelievable. Unless there was a previous incident between the two vehicles of some kind, there is no explanation for this. The person in the front vehicle could have gotten T-boned and died.

I just finished installing front and rear cameras on my daily driver. It will record while you drive. It is crazy out on the road and insurance rates just keeps going up every time when it is renew, no accident or traffic violation. The insurance company I had for 40 years only do renewal every 6 months, no more one year policy.

I also have the front and rear cameras installed on my 73 Challenger.

X2 on what cameras. Want to add them to mine.
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.

If the police are like they are in my area..that wouldn't help.

In Chicago, if there was a red light camera at that intersection, the victim getting pushed would have a ticket sent to them, and when they appealed the ticket, their appeal would get denied!

I got the Fitcamx 4k front 3k rear. Cost more than many others car cam but they are designed to be integrated with the car and look OEM. Other less costly alternatives are available. Visit Amazon. Hopefully the tariff has not kicked in.

For my 73 Challenger. I installed the Woflbox G900, 4k front and 2k rear. It is a rearview mirror setup that you strap onto your existing rearview mirror. I fab a piece of metal plate for the rear camera and to allow the mounting of the rear parking light. The plate screwed to the rear bumper. A warning is that on sunny day, the rearview mirror image can get wash out. alternately your can turn off the monitor and use it like a conventional rear view mirror. The recording still continues.
