After two years of trying to make a mechanical kickdown linkage for my quickfuel carb, I purchased the lokar cable system. My question for the guys that use this setup is: What did you do to connect the cable to the firewall, two flat plates with a hole in each, one on each side?
How do you like the finished product, easy to adjust and works well?

Thanks.

Mine works great. For over 10 years.  I'll take a look tomorrow.  I can't remember exactly how it's hooked up.

@three two barrels,  watching this one...  I know it is probably beating a dead horse  :deadhorse: but I had planned to install a LD340 with either a Edelbrock or AVS carb, because the manifold would need to be modified to accept the stock TQ.  But... from what a have heard the stock (1972 in my case) 727 kick down and/or throttle linkage won't work with that manifold, and a cable setup is required instead.  Just watching to verify that before I toss in the towel and use cables.  I was looking for as much a stock appearance as possible and obviously a cable isn't it.
Thanks for the subject  :bigthumb:

Sorry @three two barrels , I didn't read your post correctly. I have the lokar throttle cable on my qf 850. Not kick down but I did use an appropriate size stainless washer for a plate on either side of the firewall
