Sadness fills my heart for you.  I am very sorry for your loss. Be exceedingly grateful for the time that you did have him in your lives. I understand you pain all too well. I lost my 18 year old daughter in 2001. I have no magic words to heal the pain that you are feeling. If you ever need to talk, just PM me and let me know my friend....

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your son.  Last week on Moparts, someone lost their sister to cancer and I shared the same thoughts I'm about to share here.

I think there is a tendency for us not to talk about people who have passed away.  We don't want to make people sad by bringing up the fact that their loved one is gone...or we are afraid that we will say the wrong thing...or we don't know what to say.  The fact is that NOT SAYING ANYTHING is worse.  By talking about the people who have passed away, we are remembering them.  That is a good thing.

Talk about your son often.  Make sure his kids hear you talking about him.  It will be hard but you are keeping his memory alive by talking about him.

I can not imagine the overwhelming sense of loss a parent must face to lose a child.

My most sincere condolences to you and all your family.

My condolences to you and your family also. Times like this are very tough. I lost my oldest daughter to a very quick illness 2 years ago, she was 29. You never get over loosing a child but you can get thru it. I completely agree with Burdar.  Stay strong.

My most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I cannot image the loss but know that your life was so much richer because they were in it. Godspeed.

To me, knowing where it is coming from, this is the most important/meaningful post I have ever read.
Thanks Burdar.

My sympathy to you and your family. I came very close to losing my son nine years ago. I remember what that felt like. I can't imagine what it's like when it actually happens.
