I retired in January and lost my Ford Edge company car.  That basically leaves us with 2 pick-up trucks.  Wife's 2016 F150 and the 2017 F350 diesel dually for the 5th wheel.  Planning on trading in the F150 on a SUV since don't need 2 pick-ups.  I'm thinking now that I'm retired, want some luxury and was leaning towards a Lincoln Navigator over an Expedition.  The Navigator is rated #1 luxury SUV by MotorTrend and Car & Driver.  Wanted to keep an open mind and look at everything.  I have the Ford trucks primarily because they use some plastic materials I invented.  My plan was to go to the Cincinnati Auto Expo to see as many vehicles in one place as possible.

So we go last Thursday.  FCA has a huge display right as you come in.  Went down the right aisle where all of the Ram trucks were.  Came to an Expedition first.  I've owned 2 (2008 and 2013) and haven't changed much.  Then the Navigator.  It was really sweet.  Then looked at Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Audi, Cadillac Escalade, Tahoe, etc.  Navigator by far seemed the best choice.  Then we got back to the entrance on the left side of the FCA display.  Holy crap!  Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer prototypes due out this summer if no parts delays.  Wagoneer was locked as it was a non-functioning proto-type.  Grand Wagoneer was open and operational.  All I can say is Wow!  Ma Mopar did this one right (with a hefty price tag I might add)!  Built on the Ram 1500 platform.

Seats were amazing.  24-way adjustable and massaging.  Display goes all the way across the dash.  Fit and finish was incredible.  I'm sure they won't sell a lot of these, but they will give the Navigator some competition.  After looking at the Grand Wagoneer, had to go back and look at the Navigator again to compare.  They are close, and were the two best SUVs at the show for sure.  Wagoneer comes with the 5.7L and the Grand Wagoneer comes with the 6.4L.  Navigator only comes with the 3.5L twin-turbo V6.  I will test drive a Navigator to make sure it has enough power.  Not worried about the Wagoneers!  Decisions, decisions.

Hmm
I have t seen that jeep model in person but I did see the navigator. If you plan on keeping it a long time the fords are pretty good from what I've seen. I like the aviator more than the navigator but for that kind of money I'd look at the Volvo xc90 too

Not an SUV person so I can't offer any advice Capt. For me it's gonna be a truck to haul things or a fun car to drive. SUV's don't fit that philosophy.
Good luck on your deliberations.

I posted this more to show what Ma Mopar was up to than what I was up to.  Have fun cars and a diesel dually as a truck so an SUV fits a need for longer trips.  Bought the Navigator I saw at the auto show.

I'm guessing that mother Fiat had nothing to do with the Grand Wagoneer.  Ma Mopar all the way!

And while I'm here in this thread, here are some pics of the Navigator.
