I wonder what happened to all these funny car bodies ? Just thinking it would make some really cool garage art hanging on a wall or ceiling if your garage/shop was big enough.

The obsolete funny cars and dragsters made awesome bracket racers in the 80's. Unfortunately that means they usually got painted. I know we had a few at our track. On a similar note I remember a local racer had rusty Demon he ran and thought he had it scienced out. Around 1982 or so he ran down to Ca. and bought a Demon body from Dick Landy, brought it back and installed his drivetrain in it. He instantly picked up a few tenths. It just goes to show there was a lot more to a package than just the engine and trans.
