Step 1 - Looks like Enzo got a pre Christmas present - a racing harness & seat all set up, ready to ride!

Merry Christmas to you all!

It looks like he passed his car seat test.  When my daughter was born, she failed her car seat test twice.  We had to take her home in a car seat "bed".  I'd never seen anything like it before.  It was a little bed that she laid down flat in.  That way she wasn't curled up like she could have been in a regular seat.  We used that "bed" for at least a month before she gained enough weight and had another test.

Found this picture online.  It's basically the same thing we had to use.  Luckily we were able to borrow one from the hospital.  We paid a $50 deposit and got it back when we returned the bed.

Yes, basically this is used when they are too small and weak (mostly preemies) to properly hold up their own head.

They have to do the car seat test for at least 1.5 hours.  We live 2.5 hours away from the hospital my daughter was born at.(she is adopted)  Since we had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us, that's how long they needed to do the test.  She was fine for 2 hours during the car seat test.  However, during the last half hour, her breathing slowed and she failed.

I'm mentioning this to let everyone know that just because they passed their 1.5 hour car seat test, doesn't mean a newborn is OK to go on an extended drive.  Don't just assume everything is OK in the back seat.  Always be watching and try not to exceed that 1.5 mark without at least stopping and letting them stretch and get readjusted.  :alan2cents:  :bigthumb:
