Floorit426 & I were hanging out last Saturday.

Started talking about music and I got to digging out some old records.
Wow. What a flash back.

When we came across Neil Diamond; we both started...Sweet Caroline like the commercial and busted up laughing.

Anyways, some of you out there still sitting on LP's?

Going up in demand and  :bigmoney:

I have a whole stack of the old 33's.  Fella didn't want to buy them with the other records I sold.
Just sold about 300 records as I was tired of storing them.  I got 250 for the lot from a local guy.
I didn't sell any of my Jimi, Led z's or Iron maidens of course.

I have three or four milk crates of old lp's. Can't seem to part with them.
Zep
80 hair bands
Ozzie

It's a long list of tunz.

I have about 1000 albums, never really stopped buying them, still play records regularly, all the millennials I work with are buying vinyl now.  Some even getting into cassette tapes.  I gave them all my old mix tapes since my Denon tape deck died years ago.

I have about 6 to 7 hundred and about 12 turntables. I have a very nice setup and listen to them often.

There is nothing like kicking back and playing them on a good system.

It struck me as kind of funny, but my son (23) has been collecting them for awhile now. He has a new type of turntable that is able to connect to a computer so you could make recordings if wanted.

I've been selling off my album collection slowly for a little while now. Excellent condition, no scratches clean crisp covers at $25 a piece or $30 a double album. Many of them played  "just once"  while being recorded to a cassette tape. The wife says to me if you want car parts get a job, But I don't want a stinking job . The good news is that by selling off my albums , I have hundreds of $$$$ in badly needed car parts. Still need more parts though

I still have hundreds of them and a system to listen to them. My problem is finding time to do it.....

I have a Technics player that needs a drive belt. Where do you guys get them from?

I have probably a few hundred, along with 3 good tables (Sota, AR,@  Kenwood resin plinth). Just had my audio tech re-cap a Sumo Electra pre-amp.
Also in the arsenal is :
VPI commercial grade record cleaner
SAE 2500 amp,
SAE 8000 Tuner
SAE 2500 Parametric eq.
Sansui TU 9900 Tuner
Polk SDA-1's
And a couple of random cd players.  Analog is the way to go !
Now i just need a listening room to set all this up lol

We had hundreds of 33's but just have 2 or 3 boxes now. My wife's father worked for CBS records back in the 60-70's. He would get the new released record and take them to the radio stations to play. We had a wall full of them some still un opened. When we moved in 2002 her and her 2 brothers just took what they wanted and left the rest.
