Hey Everyone,
I thought  I would pass along my recommendation for a product I recently purchased that actually did what it advertised to do.

The Green Hinge System replaces the outer hinges on your shop doors with ones that are spring loaded to keep the door against the seal, thus keeping the drafts out & saving heating fuel.

I know you can "shim" the old hinges with washers or in my case I could have drilled out all of the track bracket rivets to make them adjustable, but the adjustment will not stay sealed as the rubber gets older.

Yes these are not cheap & there is no substitute for new seals, but even if you have new seals these will keep the door snug against the seals & you can add tension by sliding the spring to the other side of the hinge.

I only bought one kit for one 12 foot bay door @ $139.00 with free shipping, just to try them. I will e buying them for the other three doors soon. I know it would take a long time to recoup the investment in fuel savings, however there is something to be said for not having drafts while you work!

Here is a link to their site. I am not receiving any compensation & do not know these people from Adam, just wanted to pass along something that works like it says it does!!!!!

They also have kits for residential doors as well.

Thanks for the tip Bill. I was unfortunate last winter and ended up in the frigid north and the wind was horrible for a couple weeks and  I was wondering if there was an easy fix. I will definitly be checking out your suggestion. :thankyou:
