I currently have 15" ralleys on my all black car. I am kind of digging the plain black steel wheel look with poverty caps. Opinions?

Both a good look IMHO.

I agree. You can't go wrong either way. I'm personally doing bias plies on steel wheels and radials on rallye. Best of both worlds...

My car is supposed to be black with the steel wheels - personally, I prefer the steel wheels - I love the utilitarian look of poverty caps and painted wheels just remind me of the seventies.  I do like the Rallye wheels, and almost purchased a set before I go the broadcast sheet showing the steelies - got a set from Tony's parts - I think the price is right and they look awesome on the car, just wish I would have ponied up for the Polyglas tires....

IMHO...steelies on any cuda or Challenger looks bad. They also look bad on any other car. It's like you are trying to make it look like your Grandpa's station wagon. If I only had steelies to roll my Challenger on...it would stay in the garage till I could get some proper shoes for it.
Not that I have a strong opinion on this...lol... :))

You did ask for an opinion.....If you like the utilitarian look...drive a tow truck.....not a cuda.

I have to agree with dodj on this one. I hate the look of steel wheels and hubcaps. It just cheapens and kills the classy look that all E-bodies have to me. If I bought another cuda and it had poverty caps on it the very first thing I would do would be to replace them. But to each their own. At least it gives the car a different look.       :dunno:

I like the caps on the all black option. But can't go wrong with either.

I like the Ralley rims. Usually guys would get the car with the steel wheels and caps if they were going to put some kind of chrome or mag wheels on it. Why spend extra if you are just going to discard them.

Not a steelie fan either, they can look alright on a b-body though. The black one pulls it off though I guess.

Another hater of steel wheels and dog dish caps, they have no place on a muscle car - put them back on Grannys /6 Dart where they belong!     And since you asked I don`t like Rallyes either = BORING! Almost every muscle car I remember seeing back in the mid `70`s-`80`s had aftermarket wheels - Cragar S/S, aluminum slots, Keystone Klassics etc.

I love both on E-bodies.
The steel wheels make your car look all business.

I really liked how they looked on my V-Code RR (sorry I know this is an Ebody site)

IMO for a 15 inch OEM wheel...

Rallyes are so common on an e-body it gets kind of boring.
Steel wheels have grown on me over the years and can be a nice alternative.
They do look mean on an all black car with the squared shoulder of a Polyglas. Not all body colors look good on a steel wheel.
I do prefer the Dodge dog dishes with the red fratzog vs Plymouth's.

15 inch road wheels with trim rings look good even though not OEM correct.
