I am sure this question has been asked before . I trying to remove the two small Crome pins /nobbs from my 70 dash .How do they come out ? Are they hell in with a very small Allen key ? I need to replace the wood grain face thank you  :australia:

It's been a while, but I think you use a flat jeweler's screwdriver in the end of the knob, and loosen the screw to remove the knob, tighten it to hold the knob on.  Be careful, don't lose the tiny screw.  Can anyone confirm?

Yup. Do a search for barrel screw on this site and under the "Educate me please" topic look at my Reply #13 for a picture.

Hold onto a piece of tape around the knob and the screwdriver. That way when you remove the tiny, tiny, tiny screw its stuck to the tape and less chance of losing it.

I didn't have small enough jewelers screw drivers when I did mine so I used a small welding rod and ground a flat tip on one end then bent the rest of the rod 90 degrees to create a handle. Worked very well.
