It's usually a good day when you get some parts dropped off at your doorstep.

Really Jeg's, should intake manifold gaskets be bent up like a scorpion tail for shipment?
A little packing material would be nice too.

As opened, nothing in the box has been touched or removed by me.

Wow!
That's pretty impressive display of  'we don't give a ****'  kind of customer service.

I'm assuming that photo has been forwarded to Jegs?

Good help is hard to find these days.  Maybe someone's trying to get fired for incompetence so they can collect enhanced unemployment until September or maybe even later.
I remember a time not so long ago, where I'd often get orders with something printed in the box or shipping paperwork saying "packed with pride by Mary" or something to that affect. Guessing that doesn't happen any more?

Returned some seat belts that they said would fit...they didn't :/
Once returned they tried to hit me with 10% return fee. I sent everything back in same packaging box etc.
Had to call and dispute the fee. They did end refunding it but I am sure it is their business model to screw the customer for any fees they can get. I will pass on them as a vendor for our shop from now on.

I remember tags that said, "Inspected By No. 2".
Seriously though that pretty shoddy packing to say the least.

Don't mean to pile on, but.... I just today saw where they have raised the level of free shipping to $169.00 & their website still sucks!

I have been a Summit guy since 1978 when they were in a little store front place off of Gilchrist rd in Akron & they have been getting probably 10k + per year from me ever since. I don't see anything changing anytime soon!

The larger box is an alternator. So that was flopping around in there. Surprised it didn't bust the box open. What you can barely see on the lower left corner is a Holley carb bracket that was smashed into the side.

Until now it's been a toss up for me between Jeg's and Summit. Guess I'll be going in the direction of Summit.
Yes, Jeg's will be getting the pictures.

LOL. Here's how Jegs shipped the windshield in my Cuda. A couple pieces of foam and yes, those are actual forklift tracks across the fully opened, unsecured box. This is how it arrived (and was sent back 10 seconds later on the same truck that brought it.

On the second try Jegs got it right, refunded all the shipping charges, including the oversize fee and had it sealed in a hand-made, wooden box/coffin that weighed an extra 50 pounds.

For the record, the customer service people at Jegs were great. They had an absolute fit when they viewed the photos I sent them and saw how it arrived. They had the replacement windshield sent out overnight, on their dime.

(P.S. I believe it was actually AMD's fault as it was shipped directly from them and they didnt give hoot how it left... until Jegs charged them back for the damaged goods and made them crate up a new one)

I've ordered from Jegs before with no issue. Summit really seems to have their act together though and are hard to beat. If I can though I order from Mancinis due to their strong half decade Mopar base.

Now you know why I don't order from Jeg's anymore.

Besides I can order something late the day before on Summit and I have it on my porch the next day. Just amazing delivery speed and they pack items the way they should.

The person putting it in the box probably has no idea what it is ... or cares ... as long as he gets it packed and out the door on time. This is becoming a trend. Everyone wants what they order to be delivered the next day. Shipper's emphasize speed in getting it boxed, out the door and on the way. Packaging is secondary to speed.   :alan2cents:

Contacted Jeg's through the feedback link on their website.
About an hour later they contacted me asking for pictures. Sent them the pictures and they said they would send me a new set of intake gaskets. Which is what I had requested to be done.

Thankfully, I wasn't planning on working on the car this weekend. Just gathering all the parts to begin a Sniper install on my 318.
