I am selling an  A-body 8 3/4 rear minus the pumpkin and brakes - just the housing/axles and backing plates.

Has anyone shipped a rear before?  Any advice on the best way to ship?

Strap it down to a pallet and get a quote on truck freight.

i shipped out a Dana years ago . I band strapped it to a pallet and shipped it with Yellow freight.
I did hear someone used greyhound bus to ship a fender. seems they will run freight in the cargo hold on an empty return run.

I've used Greyhound to ship large things before, but the buyer doesn't have a terminal near him to receive it.

I've heard that Fastenal will do freight shipping too. Their stores are in almost every industrial park.

I bought a Dana house in SF and had it shipped to FL with Fedex, he just plugged all openings with plywood and wrote the address on it.
