Having only become active in the forum in 2017, I sadly missed out on knowing "Road Man" and continue to follow some of his best work here. I'd love to hear a few stories and maybe even see photos of him at shows and gatherings. I sense I really missed out.

Yes Kevin @7E-Bodies , Road Man was a unique one of a kind gentleman that started many unique threads on this site.

I know he is in heaven wearing both a Mopar and Ford pit shirt.  :andyangel:

The Ford pit shirt that he bought from me: https://forum.e-bodies.org/general-topics/7/race-car-pit-shirt/3525/msg51551#msg51551

This forum is a better place because of him and even as you never met him, he is still affecting your experiences here positively.

Man, he was a great guy and helped so many people.  I still miss seeing him online and his positive attitude.  :andyangel:  Rest in peace buddy.  You are truly missed.

I never met Roadman face to face, but one of the things that sticks with me about him was after his health was limiting his mobility, he started a thread about finding parts for other people. He couldn't work out in the garage but he could still work a keyboard. And he wanted to work that keyboard finding parts for all of us if he could. It really demonstrated to me what kind of guy he was. Always wanting to help.

I never met him, but he was keeping on eye out for some parts for me! he had a lot of friends out there, that tells the story on it's own. he is truly missed.  :andyangel:

He was the most loveable, rough around the edges person you could meet. Lol! Cigarettes, Busch Lite and wrenching. He'd help you any way he could and ask for nothing.

Sounds like a stand up guy. The type that exemplifies the hobby and especially this club. I'll think of these comments each time I see his picture on the banner at the bottom of these screens. God rest him.

This isnt the whole story of our day, but a small part of it. I met Mark   :ohyeah: in Kissimmee w blownmotor (Murray) a few years back, this is where I also met toxicwolf  :ohyeah: (seems like yesterday and long ago at the same time). After out breakfast meeting we all ambled into the parking lot. We must have hit it off because he (ROADMAN) handed me one of his headlight wiring conversion kits. I did not ask for this, he just handed it to me. I thought wow this is cool. Mark what do I owe you for this I inquired ?  You dont owe me nothing he said. But, just make a video showing how easy they are to install. People always think this is so hard (to do). I was like hhhmmmm ok  I'll do it! That's all I want for it, he said. Unfortunately Mark past before he could see it   :bye:

In case you do not know, ebodies.org is the second half of the story. The first half is on cuda-challenger.com.   :alan2cents:

Murray, Doug and I went down to Kissimmee for the Mecum auction 3-4 years ago and met up with Mark and ToxicWolf and another gent for breakfast. Later that day we ended up back at Mark's shop and we went to work on his beer supply. He was in the midst of finishing Toxic's fabulous 70 hemi Challenger and we got the cook's tour of both it and the shop, where Mark was thrashing an old pickup into a resto-rod for his sister. He got out his butts and me my stogie and we had a hell of a time laughing and telling war (car) stories as he showed us all his latest projects and toys and we parted with cries of "we've got to do this again" ringing in our ears. Alas, it was not to be and Mark's health went down hill, leading to his eventual demise and there we lost one of the "good ol boys" for sure. I'm sad we never got to "do this" again, Mark. Peace bro.  :andyangel:

I'm still kicking myself. Both Roadman and Toxic Wolf came to Carlisle the year I decided to miss it. I had no real reason to either, so that's why I'm bothered by his passing so much. This was my chance to meet him, and now he's gone. R.I.P.

I live in the middle of Colorado in the mountains.  I have sparse phone service.  Text and emails usually more often than phone connection.   So i'm a little hard to get on the phone.
Roadman was always looking for parts for me as I'm really into rare parts.  He bugged me over and over to call him and eventually I did.  We hit it off and I ended up having many phone conversations with him.  We had some great conversations about cars.  not just mopars.  He helped me find several parts for my 69 Grand Prix.  Pretty hard to find parts for actually.
I had conversed with him on both sites, but until he was really into looking for parts we hadn't really hit it off.  When he delved into the world of hunting parts, we became friends.  That guy could find parts like no one else i've met.  And i actively look for parts.
I was supposed to purchase one of his wiring kits, but did not get a chance.
Life is very short.  Take advantage of every opportunity to have friends.

I sure miss Roadman.   Hope your pulling 9's up there on God's race track !!

@cuda hunter then I miss him without ever having known him. I've been looking for rare parts for almost two years now with zero luck. Yep, I'm the pest that's posted several times seeking V5F (green) body side moldings for my 70 F8 Challenger.
