I live in California... Very popular here...   Well I live in Modesto George Lucas' home town so the whole Star Wars thing gets allot of airtime too...

Back to Cinco De Mayo.... Probably ten years ago on Cinco De Mayo I was working i a little town in Tennessee.... I commented to a worker at the plant where I was working that I hadn't seen any signs of a Cinco De Mayo celebration... He looked at me like I was nuts, I explained it was a celebration of Mexico's victory over French forces in 1862 & how in California you would see flags & banners along with lots of parties.... After thinking about it he comment that there had been a man once who'd hung a Mexican flag on his house & off of his car in early May... A few days later he was found floating in the river....  Apparently there has been no celebration of Mexican victories in that town since....
