This was in with the Emissions Analyzer I bought today. It's unopened. Is it for a side view mirror? The plates are metal.

looks like a side view mirror installation kit - mid-'70s B-bodies (& others ??) had the reinfocement inside the door

The plates look like side view mirror but the nut looks like it is for a radio antenna.

No the nut is for sure later model remote mirror control bezel...I'm thinking Aspen, Cordoba or something.

Rumour has it that the old Mitchell farmer has been known to "emit" on many occasions, but I'm glad I'm not having to analyse it!!
