I'm getting frustrated with the TV weather reports recently because all they talk about is forecasted brutal wind chill temperatures.  Ok, that sucks, but how low are the temperatures really going to be?  I'll deal with the wind chill, but it's actual temps that affect my cars!  I really prefer driving my Ram when it's brutal cold.  It's got heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, and a heater that heats up the interior so warm that I could buy some raw chicken on the way home, put it in a pan and set it in the console, and it would be broiled to perfection by the time I pulled in my driveway!  ;)
My eco beater is a Dodge Dart with an adequate heater, but none of the other goodies like heated seats.
Last week one morning I stumbled out of the house into the 4 degree morning, climbed into the truck, hit the button and it turned over slow.  Fired up but she wasn't happy!
Tuesday it's supposed to be -6 in the morning and I'm wondering if I should even bother trying to drive the truck to work.
I bought it 4 years ago this spring, and given the mediocre lives of today's automotive batteries, I'm thinking my trucks battery is getting a little long on the tooth.
Fortunately this cold snap is supposed to be short lived, getting better by Wednesday.  I have tomorrow off so driving the Dart one brutal cold morning on Tuesday isn't the end of the world.
Ironically my 09 Challenger I owned 13 years and my Scat Pack I got last year both had heated seats and mirrors, and the Scat has a heated steering wheel.  Fine good that does me, my old one sat in the garage hibernating every winter, as does the new one!

up to 20* today.  Was -10*  or lower last night.
Windchill not included.   -30 to -40 something.

Was a little bit windy when the storm first blew in, but windy here might be of a different opinion than windy other places lower in the country.

Went out and spun donuts around my house in the warrior today until a copper showed up, just missed me!

Started the carburated Harley up while the electronic Harley was dead.
Lithium batteries that weight a pound.  Seem good, but not sure on reliability.

I brought in my last few batteries to be warm for the winter.
I've lost some 10 batteries this year.  Batteries are going to crap.
This year I have just been taking battery from car to car.

I love it! Joe Dirt style in a Barracuda. I see a 69ish Grand Prix parked behind you. Would love to have one as a beater daily driver.  8)
