Your first new (to you) car

My first car is in this photo along with my second and third cars. My first car was the 1936 Chevrolet standard (covered by tarp in back) with inline 6 and manual trans and wipers. I bought it for $100 and drove it around in 1969 - 70. My second car was the Chevrolet Impala with 283 auto. Paid $1500 and sold it for about $1200 when I bought the 71 convertible for $1950 in June 1972. The orange 1970 Duster on the right was my parents car - a 318 with manual 3 speed trans. Oh and my hair is much thinner now.

'65 SS Impala is one of my favorite cars from the 60's.  Would love to have one with a 427 and 4-speed. 

Close ... Mine was a blue 1966 Caprice, 396 auto.

Actually: I've thought about swapping a 340 into a Colt more than once.

That would be a handful to drive!
